Khamûl
Gender: Male
Race: Man (Spirit)
Age: The Second Age, before the forging of the Rings of Power.
Homeland: Rhûn
Personality:
Harsh and twisted like the other Nine. Khamûl has managed to retain a shard of his former self in spite of the wraithing process. He can connect and read the emotions of those around him, as he could was he still enfleshed and can recall being hailed as a King of Men. His retained instincts matter not, for he uses them to meet his own cruel and those of his dark master, using other's emotions against them to mock and berate before ridding them of their life.
Khamûl has a small hint of ambition in the back of his formless head, that is he desires to out perform his only superior in service to his master. He wishes to one day outrank the Witch-King of Angmar, the most renowned of his wraith brethren.
Yet despite the minor freedoms retained within in his thought, Khamûl, like the other eight Nazgûl is still enslaved to the One, the Ruling Ring. One day he shall personally take the torch to Middle-earth and watch the world burn in service to his master.
Appearance:
Khamûl has no visible physical form left, bar the black robes that cloak his wraith form. Khamûl is the tallest of the Nine.
On occasion other than the usual black robes and under-armour typically worn by the Nazgûl, Khamûl sports armour to radiate the importance of his position, his crowned-helm and visible armour on his shoulders, arms and legs. Such a look comes with enhanced perks as a more well-attired Nazgûl is one of unusual importance, and and enhanced terror.
His armour is merely ceremonial, as a Nazgûl's armour is purely for decoration as they are natuarally protected by the power of their own and their master's ring; protected by the dark energies that only the magical craft of the Elders can break.
History:
Once a great king of the lands of Rhûn and Harad, longing for eternal life he accepted one of the nine Rings of Power forged by the Dark Lord in Mordor, naturally his wishes were granted but he was gradually overwhelmed by desire, bound to the will of the Dark Lord and brought under control of the One, the ruling ring.
Now Khamûl serves the Dark Lord together with the eight other fallen kings of men, forever bound to his will. Like their fallen king, the people of Rhûn and Harad now too serve the Shadow in the western lands, as their king is the second in the Dark Lord's favour, ready to aid him against the free peoples of Middle-earth.
With this mighty contribution to his might, the Dark Lord appointed Khamûl as the second of the Nine, a position behind only the Witch-King of Angmar.
Weapons:
Tainted Sword and a Dark Scimitar, can be dual-wielded.
Weapon Strength:
Tainted Sword - A traditional hand sword, once the sword of King Khamûl, can be wielded both single and two-handedly. When a wound is dealt with this blade, if not fatal, it leeches the life of the victim into the wound, maximizing the pain and fear to enhance his own aura of power.
Dark Scimitar - Powerful eastern broadsword. When backed by the momentum of its wielder it can cleave through armour, fit for both single and two-handed use. Most efficient as a two-handed weapon.
Weapon Weakness:
Tainted Sword - Vunrable at spear length. Clumsy to wield in a close-crowded environment.
Dark Scimitar - Inefficent recovery after parries for quick responses in combat.
Items:
Ring of Power
Crown of the Eastern Kings
Magic:
Foul. Khamûl is a weaker sorcerer than the other Nine, his true power laying in his strength of arms, but that does not make him any less deadly. Khamûl's true strength lies in his ability to harvest the strength of the slain, and leech their life. By killing, Khamûl can focus his powers and become even more dangerous and break even the most toughest warriors the Free People can produce.
Mounts:
Dark Steed
Fell Beast
