Aragorn Elessar
Heir to the Throne of Gondor
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king

Personallity: Aragorn is a master of close combat, trained like his father Arathorn in defending the Northern Lands as one of the few Rangers of the North remaining. He is a passionate and bold man, as well as a natural born leader and king. He takes nothing for greed and returns favours back in full. He shows no fear in the sight of the enemy nor in the presence of his allies, but deep down he is weak, he does not quite understand the significance of the blood in his veins, nor the role he must play in the war of the ring.
Aragorn's biggest weakness is his bloodline, having direct relation to Isildur and Elendil; he fears that he will suffer the same fate at the hands of the Dark Lord. Aragorn has very little self-confidence and relys heavily upon his friends and his love interest, Arwen to guide him.
Aragorn is said to possess many of his great ancestors, Elendils traits. Being diligent, wise, brave and strong - fighting to defend rather than to slay. Aragorn is not cruel, nor is he overly generous. He does not believe in mindless killing; but kills in order to defend others. Aragorn does not act rashly, and often acts as a peace keeper; even when relations between him and his companions are broken, he is forgiving and reliable.
"Hold your ground, hold your ground! Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!"
Appearance: Aragorn is an average sized human, with nothing that makes him stand out from the rest, he has long dark hair as well as scruffy black beard around his mouth. He has piercing blue eyes, honest and full of hope. The man fits the norm precisely, he isn't too fat, nor too skinny. Nor too muscular or too weak.
History:
Aragon's Father was slain by Orcs when Aragorn was only two-years old. He was taken in by Elrond and raised at Rivendell. At the request of his mother, his lineage was kept secret - she feared that like too his grandfather and his father, he too would be killed. Aragorn was renamed Estel, and not told of his lineage until far later on.
At the age of 20, Aragorn was told of his bloodline and given the Ring of Barahir as well as the Shards of Narsil (The blood which has been broken). During the same time, he also fell in love with Elronds, immortal Elven daughter, Arwen. However he continued his duty as a Ranger and defended the Shire, soon becoming to be known as 'Strider'. Aragorn also met Gandalf and became close friends with the wizard.
Aragorn participating in many journeys before the War of the Ring, including an assault upon Umber, the Capture of Gollum as well as an expedition to Harad and a journey through the Mines of Moria - however when he returned to Lorien, granting his love to Arwen, he was denied by Elrond; forbidding a mortal and an immortal to wed together.
Aragorn later was prescribed by Gandalf to defend the Ring-bearing, Frodo Baggins and escort him to Rivendell.
