The selfless and uplifting younger son of Gondor
Basic Info[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Full Name: Faramir
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 27
Homeland: Gondor
Favoured Weapon: Based on occasion, no obvious favour
Signature Hand: Right
Moral Alignment: 95% Good, 5% Evil
Personality:Supportive, thoughtful, sharp and always ready, Faramir is so very similar, yet so different to his brother. Unlike his brother who always ventures out in a defined search for a fight or another adventure, Faramir does what he has to keep his countrymen and allies safe and nothing else, valuing peace over war, if ever such a time would come. Whilst Boromir is known for his brute strength and abilities on the battlefield it is indeed Faramir's leadership skills and man management that come to his own fray and blended in with his own able body produces a truly magnificent sight in war.
Irritation flows through his veins at the condition of the throne of Gondor and those who seek to taint it. With his father in power and his ear perked only for those who wish to do harm, Faramir wants to help but is unable to; instead he is forced to fight those who threaten the land, rather than those the integrity of his father's palace, partially knowing to do so any more than he already had would be near-suicide.
In battle Faramir is awe striking, his ability to adapt to circumstances, see flaws in an enemy's positioning and generally using the lay of the land to his advantage gives his men great belief that they will live to fight another day, yet there is something more. Those who meet him are often consumed with almost adoration with little in the way of reasoning; it is his charisma, the aura he exudes that uplift even the most downtrodden of men, and make them fight or believe harder than they have ever before.
Well versed in lore and literature gives Faramir even more to his already over-filled quiver of a personality, as in his passtime little more does he love than to sit down and read, something the great Gandalf has since seen in him and admired.
Appearance:Faramir keeps his body in prime condition. Training helps to keep his body in perfect balance between strength, agility, speed and durability. His muscles are well toned with a good level of strength. He owns the standard haircut of his people, long and noble and backs that up with a shortly cut beard. His hair is brown with the occasional contrasts of blonde in several places and likewise his facial hair takes on a more light brown appearance.
When battle is a far cry away and when inside the city of Osgiliath, Faramir will sport clothes fitting of his father's name, but these occasions are few and far between. More often he is seen wearing the armour, clothes and cape of the rangers he captains; the colours of which range from dark creams to deep greens to remain more hidden when necessary.
Said to be a handsome man, Faramir has the charisma and looks of a Prince.
History:Faramir is the youngest of the two sons of Denethor and was known to be the weaker physically of the two. Unfounded but not protested, Faramir did not allow the respect and love his father gave his brother Boromir to affect his own development, quite the contray in fact. Looking up to Boromir became one of the main focus points of his growing up and the two's love for one another became apparant over and over again as the elder would defend his brother whenever needed.
Much like Boromir, when of age Faramir joined his father's forces, forcing his way eventually into the position of chief of the Rangers of Ithilien, the main aggressors against those who sought entry into the damned city of Mordor and defenders of the road from Minas Morgul to Osgiliath. Their efforts were said to be feared by all allies of Sauron due to their sudden strikes and deadly traps and ambushes.
A return to the Gondor capital one day brought the Istar Gandalf face to face with Faramir when the grey wizard sought further understanding on just exactly was happening. It was about that time when Faramir's love for lore and stories was admired by Gandalf and the two began a friendship, one that Faramir no doubt gained the most out of, developing his own remarkable skills even further.
With his brother elsewhere and the activity in Mordor increasing ever further, Faramir is seen as the main hope for Gondor. Hoping for his brother's return one day, but knowing he cannot dwell or go off track, he is a constant adversary in the southlands against all who stand in the name of his father.
