Personallity:
Haldir is a proud dignitary of the Lothlorien elves. He carries himself upright and always try to look presentable. There is a very deep respect that runs between him and the elves of Rivendell, not only due to blood, but they are far more trusting of the race of men than he could ever be.
He does not distrust men, he has merely seen what their pride can due to not only them, but all of Middle Earth. He is polite, but to say he doesn't keep one hand on a pommel at all times during their meeting is an utter lie.
Worse than the race of men though is dwarves. Long ago the dwarf king Thingol did his race very poorly and ever since the elves have held a very severed tie with dwarves. Haldir has never eased on this distrust. He doesn't insult dwarves, he merely doesn't acknowledge them at all. He feels their every word to be lies and them to be reckless barbarians who are better left to the shadows of the earth, not above ground to ruin the lives of the other races, especially elves.
All in all though, Haldir is a upstanding, respectful, militaristic elf who does his best to stay true to his kinsmen. That being said, he has a soft spot in his heart for those who would do good in the face of adversity no matter the race.
Appearance:

- There are very few times now that Haldir will be seen in anything less than full battle garb.
- He is a bit more built for an elf, being a few inches taller, and nearly half a foot wider. His centuries as the Marchwarden have done well to develope his body beyond that of your typical elf.
- Other than that his physical features are very "elf-ish." His golden blonde hair seems to never fade and always hang knotless. His skin is unblemished and beyond smooth. His eyes are a grayed over blue, the only thing that seems to have aged on him.
History:
Born in Lothlorien, Haldir had nearly two thousand years to prepare for war. His father was the Marchwarden at the time and his mother was one of the rangers of the north. Growing up with them was like growing up in an academy. Every day you learned a lesson and practiced with a weapon. That being said, his childhood was rather blessed. Having an important father and well versed mother he never wanted for things and was not one to be ridiculed often. His family was well respected and humble.
By the time Haldir was old enough to make his own way in life he was just as well versed as his mother and was beating his father in sparring matches on a daily basis. It was not something his parents did not expect though. Being the oldest of three boys, competition was running rampant by the time puberty hit. And with three boys there was always someone to beat on or get beat by. You could only win for so long before the other two teamed up on you. It was like constant sibling rivalry.
Haldir followed in his father's footsteps and became a soldier, as did his brothers. Then... The Great War came. It's a time of few good memories for his entire family, all but his mother in one fell swoop. His mother would later follow when a stray roving band of orcs ambushed her ranger party. These were not trajedies to him though. His family had served and fallen in defense of Lothlorien
And so Haldir became the Marchwarden in place of his father and now does all he can to continue his family's legacy as stalwart defenders of Lothlorien.
Weapons:
- Dawnstar, Elven Curved Blade
- Heartwood, Elven Recurve Bow
Weapon Strength:
Dawnstar
- Two Handed. High control, strong leverage
- Light weight. Elven made weapons are very strong and very light weight.
Heartwood
- Ranged. It's a bow. Don't need to spell this out.
- Elven Made. Lightweight but not at the cost of sturdiness.
Weapon Weakness:
Dawnstar
- Lack of range.
- Hard to defend against ranged attacks
Heartwood
- No defense. A bow is not something you can stop blades or slow bludgeons with.
- No Melee. A bow is not a melee weapon at all.
Items:
Signet Of Lothlorien: A ring and amulet combo that signalize him to not only be a Marchwarden, but confidant of King Celeborn and Lady Galadriel. Probably the most precious item Haldir carries.
